Sacramento Alliance for Vaccine Equity Launched to Break Down Digital, Language, and Cultural Barriers to Vaccine Access

The Sacramento Alliance for Vaccine Equity (SAVE) will be officially launched this Friday at the Sam & Bonnie Pannell Community Center, where many of its coalition members have helped to vaccinate thousands of South Sacramentans over the course of the last three months.

South Sac’s Largest Vaccine Clinic Reaches One Month Mark, Plans to Vaccinate 3,400 on Friday, April 9

Every Friday at the Sam & Bonnie Pannell Community Center, located in the heart of South Sacramento’s Meadowview neighborhood, thousands of individuals and families have lined up to receive their COVID-19 vaccine from a team of volunteer vaccinators working in orderly rows. Now, in their fifth week, the clinic team plans to provide 3,400 vaccinations to eligible South Sac residents in a single day.

Councilmember Mai Vang, Mayor Steinberg Announce Resolution to Fight Anti-Asian Hate in Sacramento

Following repeated incidents of anti-Asian racism, violence, and hate in Sacramento and across the nation, Councilmember Mai Vang will be hosting a press conference on Tuesday, March 2 at 10am to announce her intention to introduce a resolution to the Sacramento City Council condemning anti-Asian hate and resolving to fight racism as a city and community.
